LaVerne Green

SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR

LaVerne Green, Senior Administrator at Black Researchers Collective, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Individualized Studies from Eastern Michigan University. Born and reared in what she considers a beloved city, Benton Harbor, Michigan; her Father, a sharecropper, navigated from the South to the North and started a black-owned construction business amidst many odds. LaVerne witnessed her Father as an advocate for himself and his family; becoming an entrepreneur, then hiring and aspiring other Black Men to become advocates for their families. LaVerne recognizes that many black-owned businesses in the Chicago area have surmounted similar systemic structural odds of starting, maintaining, and continuing as a thriving entrepreneurial entity for their families; their children, their children’s children . . . Ase! Ase! Ase!
